New Xbox 360 controller! No more D-Pad Rage! UPDATED

So apparently, Microsoft does listen to its fans, if not a little late in the game. Just announced is the news that Microsoft will soon be releasing a redesigned version of the Xbox 360 contoller we no now. Since its launch, gamers have complained about the inaccuracy of the directional pad on the current 360 controller. These complaints grew much wider with the reccent launch of Tekken and streetfighter on multiple platforms, so the compairisons were made and it wasnt looking too comfortable on the 360 side of things.

All is looking to be resolved with Microsoft specifically changing the design of the D-pad to one with two forms. Speaking to Xbox representative, and all around nice guy, Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb say the d-pad converts "from a plus to a disc with the twist of the wrist.". Also that the controller is made to provide "ultimate accuracy and control for both directional as well as sweeping movements."

No word on an exact release date for Europe but the new controller looks to be hitting North America on November 9th. Available only in Play and Charge kit form with a retail price of $64.99.

Ghost of Sparta Bundle

This might possibly be the most awesome PSP bundle pack to hit US shores to date. The new God of war Ghost of Sparta, launching this November, is coming to retail in a fancy entertainment pack for the PlayStation portable gaming system. The bundle includes a 2GB memory stick, a black PSP-3000 with red accented trim and buttons, the original God of War for PSP (in downloadable voucher form), of course the game itself, and my personal favorite addition, the UMD version of Kick Ass the movie. A price is not listed yet but if previous bundle releases are any indication, this may very well fall in to the $199.99 category.

Move can do camelion hands! And oh so much more

The PlayStation Blog has posted a new video for the PS Move, demonstrating  its more versatile abilities. All of what is shown is what the tech is capable of, but also isn't likely to make it into consumers hands as final products. Whats show are more tech demos, than games or applications, that might not appeal to the more casual crowd Sony had been trying to capture with the introductions of their motion control device. Still, its a pretty cool way to show off what the move can do, and maybe gives some developers ideas on how to fully utilize the hardware. PlayStation Move hits retail shelves on September 19.
